on materialism

once you eliminate the soul from the world, a material world regards the human being as a careful arrangement of matter, with no more meaning than a snowflake or a cloud. and one day the snowflake melts, the cloud blows away, and the person dies. then there is nothing left but the raw elements, blowing in the wind.

I guess in that case, we should probably hold off on eliminating the soul if at all possible. That, or invest seriously in Dustbusters.

I agree. We are so much contained within so very little. Then again, I believe almost everything is beautiful, you just need a perspective which allows you to see it.
